EVENT BENEFICIARY

Anaheim Community Foundation (ACF) will be the beneficiary of the 2012 Tinker Bell Half Marathon. The organization will receive more than $5,000 in donations as part of this year's race. Founded in 1984, ACF exists to encourage community participation, partnerships, and collaboration that result in successful responses to community challenges and opportunities. Provide individuals and businesses opportunities to make charitable investments that directly benefit the Anaheim community. ELIGIBILITY

Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age for the EXPO and 12 years of age for RACE DAY. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian consent.

Remember that children under the age of 12 are not allowed to volunteer or accompany you. You will be told on the event day that your services cannot be utilized if you have children with you. This is for the safety of your child and everyone else involved.

Group Opportunities

Celebrate the 2012 Tinker Bell Half Marathon with family and friends! Please email DLrunDisney.Volunteers@disney.com for more information.

Groups of 50 or more who register before October 10, 2012, or while space available, are eligible for a complimentary Disneyland® theme park ticket. The group only needs to work one volunteer shift, as a group, to be eligible for this incentive. All registered members of the group are required to work the assigned shift, as well as, sign in and sign out on the day of your assigned volunteer shift, in order to receive the complimentary one-Park admission. Student Groups must have one adult volunteer (age 21 or over) per every 20 student volunteers.

Schedule

Volunteer shifts and activities will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Although every effort will be made to accommodate your selection, the scheduling office reserves the right to schedule volunteers based on event needs, which includes placing volunteers on a waiting list. Also, if volunteers register for shifts that occur at the same time, the scheduling office will assign the volunteer to one shift. Please note that the volunteer scheduling does not assign shifts to those who do not select a specific volunteer shift. Each volunteer must select their own volunteer shifts on the online registration form.

You will receive a confirmed volunteer schedule, via email, approximately one month prior to the event. Schedules are subject to change. All volunteers are required to sign a release waiver.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

As a volunteer for the 2012 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Expo, Disney's Family Fun Run 5K & Kids' Races, and Tinker Bell Half Marathon, you will receive apparel, light meal per shift, and, if you meet the eligibility requirements, a Disneyland® theme park ticket.

Theme park ticket distribution is based on minimum volunteer shifts worked. Each volunteer must either work at least two volunteer shifts or one 3:00am or earlier Half Marathon race day shift, to be eligible for the complimentary one-Park admission. Each volunteer must also sign in and sign out for each shift to be eligible for the complimentary one-Park admission. Each eligible volunteer will receive a maximum of one (1) complimentary one-Park ticket.

Team Leader Opportunities

Team Leaders are needed to oversee specific volunteer locations. Team Leaders are required to attend Team Leader Training and participate in a site visit before Race Day. Due to the additional time commitment, Team Leaders are only required to work one volunteer shift to be eligible for the complimentary Disneyland® theme park ticket. To be considered as a Team Leader, you must be registered as a volunteer for the 2012 Tinker Bell Half Marathon weekend.
